Welcome to Year 3

Class Teacher: Mrs Ward

During this half term we shall be reading different texts and extending our knowledge of grammatical structures and spelling homophones. We shall be learning about place value of numbers to 1000, methods of addition and subtraction and learning more multiplication tables. We shall learn about how to stay safe online when using devices and how to check if information is reliable. In Science we will be learning about how we can keep healthy and the role of different nutrients in our bodies. In Geography we will be learning about different biomes and in R.E. about how different religions believe in God. There will be opportunities to learn outside through our gardening project and in P.E. we will be focussing on the skills required to play netball. The children will be learning some Latin and how it relates to English.
